Masserati: Aysha Saif AlHamrani, ZU CCMS BA Alumni of 2013

Aysha AlHamrani, ZU BA Alumni of 2013 from the College of Communication and Media Sciences (CCMS), known as Mnawrah #Proud_ZUAlumni

She enjoys Emirati pop culture, and makes it a point to translate that culture into art. Aysha dreams of converting her talent into a valuable contribution towards her society as an inspiration to others. She passionately believes that there are many hidden gems within our culture that are yet to be discovered and shared with the world.

Aysha recently collaborated with Emarat during the holy month of Ramdan under a campaign called "Fueling Ramadan Bonds" that enabled Aysha to showcase her comic art (that is Emirati based) #Proud_ZUAlumni

Aysha to the Alumni Team, Zayed University:

"My work is warm and almost whimsical with a relatable female perspective, drawing strong aesthetic cues from a childhood spent absorbing media and my surroundings Middle East during the 90s early 00s.

I have constantly revisited this period of my life, through my own zines, comics, caricatures, children’s literature, and got into Arabic poetry to touch on the boundless possibilities of childhood, my own upbringing and the often-stifling education and treatment I endured as a young girl. These pieces, more resigned and reflective, address themes of love, loss, disillusionment, and forgiveness

Ultimately, my goal is to make art more accessible and attainable to the masses"
