
Zayed University (ZU) is actively searching for qualified individuals to join as adjunct part-time faculty on a contractual basis, spanning diverse disciplines across the university (see below “The Opportunities” for specifics).
Opportunities are available on both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses.
As temporary but valued teaching staff, adjunct faculty play a crucial role in enriching student learning by contributing practical knowledge and diverse experiences.
Successful adjunct faculty members at Zayed University typically possess a combination of academic expertise, teaching proficiency, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Flexibility in terms of timing, as well as teaching area, is also important. English is the primary language of instruction. Remuneration for adjunct faculty is provided on a monthly basis, corresponding to the contracted hours of teaching per week.
College of Arts & Creative Enterprises - Teaching areas sought (Masters of Arts, Masters of Fine Arts or PhD): Graphic Design; Animation; Interior Design; and Art History
College of Business - Teaching areas sought (PhD or Masters in Business): Operations Management; Marketing; Innovation and/or Entrepreneurship; Finance (PhD only)
College of Communication & Media Sciences - Teaching areas sought (Masters of Arts, Masters of Fine Arts or PhD): audio production, social media marketing, web production, media production, visual storytelling; tourism (PhD candidates only including tourism management, planning, marketing, heritage and events planning)

Qualifications
Prospective candidates for adjunct positions should:
- hold a PhD or Masters degree at the time of appointment from an internationally accredited university in the field of prospective teaching (or a closely related field).
- have a valid UAE residence visa, be eligible to work in the UAE, and will be required to provide a No Objection Letter (NOC) from their named sponsor (a NOC will also be required for UAE nationals holding current employment status).
- have previous experience teaching in a higher education institution.
