Latifa Al Hammadi, ZU BA CTI Alumni, majored in Information Technology with a concentration in Security and Network Technology (2015) is a Design Technology teacher at Al Sila’a School #Proud_ZUAlumni
She builds a humanoid open-source 3D printed robot with a size of 180 cm. The main reason for building this project is to follow the UAE's vision and be part of the UAE's advancement in the field of science and technology. Gaining knowledge and enriching her learning experience in robotics is another concern.
Its name is RBDAN. RBDAN’s body is constructed from 3D-printed parts. All the robot parts were printed using a 3D printer. It contains 31 servos that move the upper part of the robot and many sensors that help the robot interact with people, such as cameras in the robot's eyes, speakers, microphone, PIR sensor to detect people and a Kinect sensor.
Rabdan has the ability to interact with the audience by talking using a chatbot, answering some questions, finding locations using Google Maps and searching for information using a search engine.
